Owl City

Legal name: Adam Randal Young

Owl City is an American electronic music project created in 2007 in Owatonna, Minnesota by singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Adam Young, who started the project experimenting in his parents' basement. After building an early following on Myspace, Owl City signed with Universal Republic (now Republic Records) in 2008. The 2009 single "Fireflies" hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped charts internationally. Discography includes seven studio albums — Maybe I'm Dreaming (2008), Ocean Eyes (2009), All Things Bright and Beautiful (2011), The Midsummer Station (2012), Mobile Orchard (2015), Cinematic (2018), and Coco Moon (2023) — along with eight EPs and twenty-six singles.
