Tapes 'n Tapes was an American indie rock band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 2003. Their 2005 self-released debut The Loon became a blog-era breakout, earning national attention from Pitchfork and The New York Times and leading to a signing with XL Recordings. They released three studio albums (The Loon, Walk It Off, Outside) before going on indefinite hiatus after 2012.
