Sonny Knight & the Lakers

Sonny Knight & the Lakers were a Minneapolis-based soul and R&B band fronted by veteran singer Sonny Knight (born Joseph Bo Smith, 1948–2017). After a decades-long absence from the stage, Knight returned to music in his sixties and released I'm Still Here (2014) and Do It Live! (2016) on Secret Stash Records, becoming a beloved figure in the Twin Cities before his death in 2017.
