Kente

Kente was born November 16th in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After living in Houston, Texas, he later moved to West Memphis, Arkansas, just miles from Memphis, Tennessee, where his sound and story were shaped. Since 2010, Kente has owned independent label Rasma Recordings LLC based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, releasing multiple mixtapes, collaboration projects, and albums including “It’s Music To Me” and “Black In America.” After serving 36 months in the Minnesota Department of Corrections, Kente returned focused and independent, releasing new music while building momentum through Frosted Lakes, his growing clothing and cannabis brand.
