Kane Darke

Kane Darke is an indie artist from Minnesota who creates music about the stories and emotions that make us human. Originally from Otsego and now living in Minneapolis, Kane has spent most of his life surrounded by music, with much of his inspiration coming from his musically oriented family. His journey began at just four years old when he started taking piano lessons. At twelve, he stepped away from formal lessons to continue learning on his own. Years later, he picked up the drums at seventeen and began singing at eighteen, where his love for music grew into a passion for songwriting and creating his own style and sound. Kane combines his love for piano with emotional storytelling to create music that carries a deeper meaning. Most of his songs begin at the piano in his home, where he starts with a few chords before finding a theme or story to build around them. His lyrics often explore grief, personal experiences, and the harsh realities of life. Rather than telling stories with one simple meaning, Kane enjoys writing lyrics that can be interpreted in different ways, allowing listeners to find something personal within them. Following the release of his debut single, Author, Kane is preparing to release two more songs, Beside Your Grave on December 3rd of 2026, and Wildfire on December 17th of 2026. Above all, Kane writes his music to offer people a way to connect with emotions that aren't always easy to express. He believes that even in stories of life and loss, there's something beautiful to be found in understanding what others have gone through, which is finding grace in stories of sorrow.
